The complexity within the composite cathode in solid-state batteries calls for strong linking among chemistry at atomic scale, materials at microscopic/mesoscopic scale, and electrode system at macroscopic scale. Therefore, understanding multiscale challenges in composite cathodes, including interfacial structure, internal stress/strain, architecture/morphology, etc., is of particular importance for the development of practical solid-state batteries.
